hwclock

Dear laozhang,

with "date" you set the system time (i.e., the time of the "running" kernel). For a persistent setting you need to set the realtime clock (hardware).

The command is "hwclock".
Use "hwclock -h" for an overview of options.
I.e., with "hwclock -w" the system time is used to set the realtime clock.
