I'm thinking of ways to have backups of the data I contribute to goodreads. One way would be to fetch the metadata xml for each book and keep that around somewhere.
Given that your plugin already does all the heavy lifting of authentication and fetching of the file, could you please just store the data in the book directory, like the metadata.opf file?
