In fact, there are about 200,000 Firefox and 65,000 Chrome users .

Is this another restriction of firefox???
Yes, it is. Unfortunately, currently the only way to recognize an epub link in Firefox is looking at the "epub" extension. As this doesn't exist in the case of the mobileread download link, it doesn't work. The workaround is to store the file at first on your disk and open it then in EPUBReader.

Alternatively, you could use Chrome. The epub file is opened there automatically.
