It's a great read. Some compare Robert Rankin to Terry Pratchett, personally I disagree. There is a similarity to their humour, but definately different enough.

Robert has stated on numerous occassions that he thinks he should have his own genre shelf in Waterstones - Far Fetched Fiction. For some reason, it keeps getting shelved under Sci-Fi...

I'd advise giving it a go - then read the sequel - The Toyminator
