I've tried nearly everything short of a wayback machine to get the screensaver hack off my Kindle 2 so I can update to 2.5.7.

Currently, my Settings screen shows Software Version: Kindle 2.5.6 (501108064) + SS 0.4

Successfully ran both update_ss_0.18.N_k2_uninstall.bin
and update_jailbreak_0.4.N_k2_uninstall.bin

update_tagremove_0.N_k2_install.bin failed.

I tried the uninstall hacks and the tagremove hack.

Any help is appreciated! Thanx.
