Blue Limbo by Canadian SF writer Terence M. Green is a novel in his "Mitch Helwig" series of futuristic Toronto cop-driven-to-the-edge sf crime thrillers, originally published in the 80s.
This is free for the entire month, courtesy of re-publisher Phoenix Pick, and
Barking Dogs (itself a former PPick freebie), the 1st book in the series, is on sale for only $1.99 using the coupon provided on the special free book page.
The coupon code you'll need to claim the freebie is
9991437, and you get there by visiting
PPick's frontpage and scrolling down to the author's name. It's DRM-free in multiple formats for the reader of your choice.
I've read
Barking Dogs (and bought the as-yet unread
Blue Limbo during a sale after reading BD), and it's a reasonably decent slightly reactionary 80s-influenced tech-aided stressed-out-cop-flirting-with-vigilantism (think Robocop or similar) thriller, so if you happen to like those, you're unlikely to be disappointed in this series.
PPick are also offering 35% off all their books when bought direct from their website using the
DIRDEC coupon throughout the month of December. They already give 15% off their suggested retail list prices when buying direct, so if there's anything you've been particularly wanting, the discounts stack nicely.
Oh, and they also have
a new blog which you might like to visit to keep up with release news and such.
