Interesting article. And, no, I wouldn't play "catch" with my Kindle either. I also wouldn't do it with any electronic device that I valued.

Would and have taken my Kindle to the pool on a really hot day, and it was just fine. I treated it with the same respect I would (again) any electronic device near water.

I have very little need to actually read underwater, so a light water resistant covering suits my purposes for most pool usage.
