I like the idea of saving it with a zip extension, so long as Sigil can read a zip file extension as input, even if it is a set of html and images and not just a bad ePub. Having it be a zip avoids accidentally thinking its an ePub and allows simple disassembly to fix the problems outside of Sigil.
