So yeah, 1984 didn't happen, the Second Impact never happened, the Eugenics War didn't happen but we're only a few elections away from the Sanctuary Districts, the Centauri haven't put a jump gate into orbit, we don't have domed cities because of excessive pollution or radiation, we never had any nuclear wars, we don't have Boomers or Replicants, we don't have any fully-developed megacorps yet, governments still exist (thank gawd), the Flying Car Guy is still trying to prove he can make a product that can go higher than 40 feet, we're still using the dirtiest possible energy sources, we don't have a Handicapper-General (thank gawd), none of the Presidents have gone off the deep end and declared themselves dictator...

Dunno, I think we got a not too bad deal compared to what could've happened.
