As far as reading, Arc has a better screen for reading outdoors if that matters to you. Nexus has ICS but the max storage you can get is 32g with no expandable storage. Arc has the older processor but there's an update in the works for this. Once that comes out the Arc will also have ICS. They also have max storage of 64g, also without expandable storage.

I think you meant the Arc has the older version of Android, not the older processor. When it comes to the processor(s), the Arc and the Nexus 7 are pretty close, with some benchmarks giving one the edge, other benchmarks giving the other the edge.
