There is rumor in the blogosphere that Amazon is investing in (or maybe even buying) Samsung's Liquavista display. Apparently, they are not impressed with this Triton 2 display by E-ink.

Frankly, I think Liquavista blows Triton 2 out of the water and that's why Amazon is perhaps looking into this. Gamma Dynamics is also joining the foray sometime with their ElectroFluidics color display, maybe Sony or B&N would buy GD since it seems that they also aren't interested in Triton 2.
