One more note regarding the battery charging problem.
It looks like it's not really a problem after all. As I have read on FAQ, it does not indicate charging while turned off and that's why I thought it was totally discharged. Today I turned it on for the first time, since I wrote post on forum about selling it. It booted without any problems, so it looks like it perfectly in order. But I'll try to simulate total discharging anyway, since I read on forum that some owners of DR1000s do experience trouble with full discharging of the device.
