Hope there is no truth in the rumour that Apple's Beloved Leader has been seen in the Moderators Suite. An Apple spokeswoman, a Miss Pippin Cox (formally Miss Pink Lady 1987), was at pains to squash the rumour at an Apple conference earlier this morning.

She was also at pains to squash any rumour that 75,000 iPad units were being made ready for distribution.

Mobileread's Spokesman retorted ...

LET THIS BE A WARNING NOTE TO ALL MEMBERS:

This lady has very few posts.

It is advisable that Members establish a relationship with the lady before potentially parting with any money - assuming the item is still available.

We are not impugning any lady's character, but Members have been burnt by unscrupulous scoundrels in the past.

He also went on to say ...

Once Upon A Time there was a very happy little cricket. She frolicked contentedly amongst the weeds, hopping and jumping and having a jolly good time eating decayed fungi, an activity that made her smile. Unfortunately, she couldn’t chirp because she was not a male, but that didn’t stop her from being ever so happy, even though she was cold-blooded. So onward she hopped, happy with herself and with her world, even when she jumped onto some nearby railroad tracks.
