Hard day at work. 300 plus mails, reduced to 180 by filters, only two kept for further action. Very further.

Americano: 2oz Red Vermouth 2oz Campari, pour in a highball glass filled with ice cubes. Add sparkling water (sparingly). Stir. Add a lemon peel. Sit on a low wall in the sunset watching the robot working over the overgrown lawn. Tentative sip. Sip again. Then with gusto. Bliss.

Supper has been easy. Melon and ham for the girls (Magic cook, on temporary leave of absence from the KC and GeoffC farm, defrosted a slice of focaccia for the two starving angels). Palm hearts, green salad and cherry tomatoes and lox for yours truly. Half a bottle of French white (Baye d'Argent, Cote de Provence). A lemoncello?
Willkommen beppe! Great to see you back safely!
Americano -- yes! Campari is perfect for hot weather sipping!
I hope you're rested - you're going to have lots of adventures cooking in the desert!
