Got to meet up with BadGoodDeb and Rebarnmom today (well, I'd already met Rebarnmom). We had fun wandering through the art show part of the Festival, and playing with Deb's toys. I got sunburned to go with the rest of my list of injuries, LOL.
It was a wonderful meet-up! Beautiful day! (Sorry to hear about your sunburn.) So good to meet BadGoodDeb for the first time! Nice woman that Xena! Nice car, nice gadgets! Shel, your son is about the most sociable teenage boy I've ever met! Good kid! I am sorry that I didn't bring Mallory. They would've surely hit it off on the subject of Doctor Who! And she would've known how to find all of the good YouTube videos.

We did the Let Freedom Ring Festival yesterday. Parade, carnival & fireworks. Having two festivals in neighboring towns on the same weekend did not fare well for ours, being the smaller town. But I still think that our town's fireworks are awesome for a town its size and we practically had the place to ourselves, like a private showing, as everyone must've been at the Petunia Festival's fireworks!

Thanks for arranging the meet-up! I hope we can do it again soon! And if there are any other MR members in north central IL, Chicago and its burbs, maybe we can do an official MobileRead meet-up!
