What I object to is the blatant advertising of posters who doesn't participate in the discussions and use every conceivable opportunity to blast their own horn.

BearMountainBooks's suggestion of a Sony store thread doesn't even come close to putting her best foot forward - by far. I'm personally quite okay with people putting their best foot forward - it's when the ulterior motive behind a post is nothing but advertising I get annoyed. Just like when unknown authors are friending you on Goodreads or Shelfari just to promote their books.
