Good to have your company, Steppin. Sounds to me like your dad would be better off with a simple read-only device without the bells and whistles but with good font-sizing capability. There are several out there at reasonable prices. My mother-in-law is eighty two and has used my Sony-505 often and loves it (will be hunting one down for her in good time for Christmas).
