I bought this dog for my wife a couple of weeks after we got married around 14 years ago. She was our only dog. She watched over three of my children throughout her life. She was a good dog.
She was a pound puppy that they were going to put to sleep because no one wanted her. She had a hernia and staples in her stomach. Most people do not like to get a brand new puppy that is already starting off with issues. I would have kept her alive if there was a chance that she could live pain free and not have breathing issues.
She had a good life.

I am so sorry for your pain. She is now pain-free, but it's always hardest on those left behind! I too know how that feels.
