Kindle Newbie

Hi Everyone!

I've been wanting a Kindle for awhile but I felt the cost was way too high. When B&N dropped the price of the nook to $199 and Amazon responded by dropped the price of the Kindle to $189 I knew I was going to get one. I did my due diligence and checked out the nook at a B&N store but I liked the Kindle better. I ordered a Kindle from Amazon two days ago and it's supposed to arrive today. Then I got real lucky and stumbled across the Woot! (Wootazon?) deal so I ordered one there for $149.99 + $5 S&H. That one will be for my wife.

My first experience with an e-book was was a few years ago when I downloaded "I, Robot" by Isaac Asimov to read using MobiPocket Reader on my then new Palm Zire 71. I guess that I wasn't overwhelmed by that experience because that was the only book I ever read on the Zire.

Oh, there's the doorbell now!
