So what if there were parallel universes which overlapped just a teensy eensy bit in The Llounge? And someone posted a thread in one universe which was dang nearly entirely but not just quite exactly like the one in the other universe? So a few lucky/unlucky souls who lived on the ragged edges of one universe could actually see BOTH threads simultaneously? And chaos, as usual, was the norm. And mods and other sensible folks just shaked their heads and said "More nonsense, I see!". So, would it still be Doughnut Day at MobileRead?

Definitely a pest in this universe.
