For the OP, Baen is the best, but tor has some free stuff at tor.com too.
My own site has my fantasy book #1 of my series posted, but that's it.
About Sci-Fi, I never cared, but that is the meaning associated by some, SF=real cool literary stuff, Sci-Fi is a monster movie. A bad one.
