That's weird. I was under the impression that if you registered with a US credit card with US billing address, you have no geo restriction wherever you go. Heck, isn't that the point of buying the global Kindle, so that you can travel abroad with no problems? Even if they check your IP address and see that you're not in the US, you can always say that you're just on vacation abroad.
