I saw an Acer notebook recently with a "Sideshow" screen built into the lid. It's a brilliant idea - lets you check your calendar, contacts, etc, without turning the machine on. All it is really is an entirely separate Pocket PC which "syncs" with the main machine whenever it's switched on.
