I saw the thread, "They let THAT huy in here," and thought someone already intro'd me to the group ... (grin).
I pre-ordered my kobo through Borders. I am really enjoying it. I had already purchased a Kindle2 for my wife. I *knew* what the kobo could NOT do ... but the price point was great (US $150).
Then, of course, madness fell upon the eReader manufacturing community last week, with the Kindle2 now priced at just $40 more than a kobo.
I see a marketplace for the kobo - but not at $150 any longer. And not at "150 minus a 20 dollar gift card minus about ten bucks of Borders Rewards." It has to be $US100-125 to survive.
But I am enjoying mine. Loaded a bunch of .pdf manuals on its SD card (take THAT, Kindle2! (g)), and am really liking my kobo.
