Tazzers -

I'm not a 600 user, but used a 505 for nearly 2 years and now a 300 - both are supposed to have 6000-7000 page turn life for the battery. However, my understanding is that this is based upon the scenario of non-stop continuous page turning, which never happens in real life.

When the unit is in sleep mode (rather than shutdown) the unit is still taking an amount of power from the battery.

My experience has been that with my level of reading - a couple of hours every day - I expect the battery to go down to one bar by about the end of week 3 after fully charging. Frequent returns to the main menu and navigating about impacts upon battery life as well.

The above has held true for both units I have owned.

Oh, and as others have recommended already, charge via the mains if you can.
