I'm lost in Wyoming
Actually as far as the Kindle is concerned the title of this thread is accurate.
I first purchased a Kindle and due to the rural nature of my address, there are only 30,000 people in my city in NE Wyoming, I was unable to connect in any consistent fashion to the Kindle downloads.
I tried and failed twice, getting a "can't connect" error message. After speaking to customer service they requested that I leave it on and wait an hour to see if the two books I experimentally purchased dowloaded to the Kindle. After some time within that hour window they did download. Then before calling customer service again I waited for a 3rd purchase to download and it failed with the "can't connect" message again.
As I write this the Kindle is on it's way back to Amazon returns in Kentucky and I'm waiting for my Nook which should be here thursday.
I do have excellent wi-fi connectivity thru my internet ISP and there are a few hotspots in my area so I expect the Nook to do the job.
In the meantime hello to all you, errr, Nookies???????
