While I agree with the first two, the last one is not necessarily a bad decision.
They QUE, from what I can tell, is aimed primarily at business users or very hardcore readers. From their marketing site, I can tell they are going for the "premium" market. There is always room for the competitor who goes "premium". Yes, this is a smaller market, but the people in it are willing to spend A LOT more. Amazon would have to sell about 5-6 Kindle 2s for every 1 QUE to make a similar profit on device sales alone. Even when compared to the DX, the QUE supports so many great features, that many would pay the $200-300 difference and get a QUE. When you think about it this way, the QUE is actually playing a very different game from the rest of the device manufacturers out there.
It remains to be seen whether they're going to still be able to compete in this market.
