Started Robert Charles Wilson's "Julian Comstock" - an intriguing "alternate history" of life after the collapse of oil-based technologies and the return to a quasi-19th century mode of life in the 23rd century. So far I'm hooked!

As I'm just finishing a re-read of Neal Stephenson's "The Diamond Age" - makes for a fascinating contrast of two wildly dissimilar world views of our future - with and without technology.
