I've done the upgrade.
I'm fine with the status quo - even if it may have been the "final" release.
I remain a loyal iRex fan. iRex 800, in my opinion, is in the top 5 (maybe even top 3) of all dedicated readers out there.
Especially if you're into touchscreens, I only see very limited alternatives:
The 2 other iRex readers, iLiad and 1000S. Onyx Boox/BeBook Neo (which I like a bit less than iRex 800), Sony 900, PocketBook 602. So far, iRex 800 remains my favorite amongst those.
