While not vampires, they are books about two teenagers learning they are powerful magic-workers - and their trials and tribulations concerning their powers. The tales are set in today's modern world and the teenagers travel all over the globe.

Very enjoyable books, so far.

I actually jumped on this particular thread for the teen/young adult series aspect rather than the Twilight aspect which I gotta admit, I loathe. sorry, just my humble opinion. I like a good vampire story, like the early Rice stuff. anyway....

another series that is great for both adults and teens is The Eye Of The World. my son read it right after his Dad and I did and he was about 12 or 13 devoured every Wheel of Time book after that.
