What about Michael Scott's "The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel" series?
He marks it as "Young Adult" and there are currently four books:
The Alchemyst
The Magician
The Sorceress
The Necromancer
... with two more coming.
While not vampires, they are books about two teenagers learning they are powerful magic-workers - and their trials and tribulations concerning their powers. The tales are set in today's modern world and the teenagers travel all over the globe.
Very enjoyable books, so far.
