Device: Kindle, the original! Times Two! and gifting an International Kindle
I'm bumping this as I am loaning one of my Kindles to a friend who has a very precocious 9 year old, whi apparently an extremely voracious reader. she has burned through all the Potter books, Narnia, Lemony Snickets, and so on. I don't want to spend a ton of money as this is just a loan to see if she likes the Kindle, and until I have grandkittens, I don't feel the need to pay out for a bunch of kids books (not that I don't have some already!)

(and for the record, the Kim Harrison books, while loads of fun are so not for the under 18 crowd!
