Thank you to all who replied to my question. I don't know if you are aware of this, but the Libre also, in general, does not turn off when you push the power button, it just goes to sleep, that's why it can show the page back in a few seconds. This is probably why I have been getting away with reading a book past its expiration date.
How long does the nook last in the sleep mode?
