Your opinions on pageturn ergonomics?

I'd like your opinions about the readers you have and the way(s) each of them page forward and back. I own a Gen3 - I'm not satisfied with the buttons, and feel it forces me into particular positions. So, for 3 different situations

1. At home in your most comfortable reading chair.

2. Traveling, sitting on a subway or bus seat

3. Reading in bed (and if something irritates your spouse or other bedmate, that is a valid concern.)

Which readers feel good, or better than others, to page forward and back? Do your hands naturally reach buttons, or places on the screen if there's a touchscreen pageturn? Changing hands, to left hand (or right if you're left handed)?
