The difference between a bank vault and DRM is that cracking a single bank vault only cracks this specific bank vault not all bank vaults of the same manufacture. The loss is therefore limited. Not to mention that bank vaults usually carry big chunks of illegal money.
Also the robbers are usually caught reducing the loss further.
Cracking a DRM scheme means all content under that DRM is free.
