Nook is nice and slick but it is solely oriented to reading books and nothing else...books from B&N..books in English. Come on, add some more features, make it more marketable and I ll buy it. actually it has improved languge support etc. Still no landscape mode, I do believe that would be more of a hardware than software.
TXT lack of support is an odd ommision but one I have yet to run into any problems.
The nook supports many languages outside of English, not sure why you think it doesn't. It did improve accents and such for foreign languages.
also you can buy books anywhere that e-pub is supported, not just BN again not sure why you said you can't. Did you actually research the product or just making wild claims. I don't know but yeah you can pick up books just about everywhere.
So if spending twice as much just so you can read something in tXT format and landscape but still have no real bookstore platform is your thing then there you go. Have a good time.
