Yes, you said that, but so do many other countries and companies. The French did not invent the book or the ebook reader. The fact that you want to us a silly word that no one else cares to use has little to do with any of that. You are welcome to call your reader anything you want, but when you use that term in my presence then I will exercise my right to tell you how silly it is.
The world has perfectly good names for e-readers and they will be used and continue to be used.
Also for your information the Sony predecessors (the clie and other) to their first official e-book reader (with e-ink) were likely out before your references in any case. Palm devices and pds etc. etc.
