Agree. I don't see why people care. Even if it catches on I wouldn't use it as I just don't like the word and have a disdain for all things French.
But I don't use the term "e-reader" in daily conversation either. I own a Kindle, if I'm talking about reading I say "I read ________ on my Kindle." I'm a person that likes to speak in specifics rather than generalities I guess!
