Go with Kindle unless you plan on getting the $149 Nook.
I love the Kindle because they've got an amazing selection of books, often times at the cheapest price. Yes, Nook looks better, but it's about reading. I also love the dictionary on the Kindle. If you've already got a Kindle, keep it. And yes, also get that refund for $70.
