I was worried about glare when I ordered my 302 in April. I got a device with the full on glassy screen, no overlay. After using it extensively, I don't feel like I miss it.
My other extensive experience has been with the PRS-600, and I prefer the crispness of the glassy screen on the 302 over the very slight blurriness of the nonglare treated 600.
