This just goes to show you that open source resources should be embraced by companies.
Just look at what Rockbox has done for Sansa MP3 players... Why pay programmers and fight modders, when the community can do it better and for free?
The LifeHacker poll a few weeks ago show people prefer Android to iPhone almost 2-1... Anyone that tries to rule "their" device with an iron fist, is just going to lose market share. I'm looking at you, Apple and Amazon.
