We would have been better off with Last Man Standing by David Baldacci. I found Thirty-Nine Steps to be not worth the price I paid for it and it was free. It held no suspense and wasn't thrilling at all. The only reason I finished it was because it was short. It was also highly unbelievable too.

This is what we get for voting on a book based on the price and not the fact that it's a good book.
