Yes, you are correct - second button press is a click only, not a hold, and the dictionary menu appears.
As you say, not exactly how it should be designed to work, but it works!
So, 15.2 (14 June) users - are you all happy with the firmware? It seems after a few false starts and beta release misadventures, the 15.2 firmware release is official and (mostly) error-free. Do you concur? If so, I will probably update my device. I rarely use ADE, but an improved ADE would be a blessing for those times I
have to use it!...
BTW, does the ADE style hack work in 15.2 - anyone confirm it?
