I'm very much hoping that someone releases it soon: it's the 400th anniversary of the Monteverdi, and the 20th anniversary of La Fenice.
Meanwhile, I'm listening to another version and it's just not as good.
I feel exactly the same way - I loved that recording/performance, and was my favorite of Monteverdi's 1610 Vespers as well! I was so depressed when I found they had removed it. I have been searching for it ever since, and it's not like I wouldn't pay for it if I could find it somewhere!!! If I had known they were going to take it away and it wasn't going to be available anywhere else, I would have saved all the sections to my hard drive, It isn't even available on the LaFenice site anymore - the site itself used to feature it and re-direct to YouTube - I really wonder what happened. I have felt tempted to e-mail Mr. Tubery himself through his site, but I don't speak French and I'm not sure he'd appreciate a question in English. I can also not find available anywhere my favorite recording of Orfeo with Jurgen Jurgens directing on DG Archiv. The other recording on that label is available on CD, but not the earlier one any more which I love even more. It seems someone could make such things available at least electronically for those of us willing to pay for them.
