Man I hate that model of business. I bought an eReader, and can now get books virtually anywhere I want, and didn't have to break the bank to do it.
There is no ongoing cost, nobody subsidized my hardware, and I can cancel any time I want with no further cost to me. That makes me a happy consumer.
This $49/$99 idea that will cost me more in the future is not for me at all. I have enough monthly bills as it is.
