Whatever the OP's intention, a few posts in we had moved away from the empirical question of whether the word liseuse was being used outside MR to the question of whether it should be used and individual preferences or otherwise for the word. The argument seems to proceed along the lines that, since I dislike the word, it has no chance of passing into common currency.

There seems to be no way of predicting which words will gain currency and which won't - who would have thought "USB" or "Broadband" would have gained currency?
