Thank you Janette for starting this excellent discussion and to those of you who have kept it going. I have been following the DRM debate for a long time and the explanations given here have been some of the best I have seen. Much easier now to explain to others what I am talking about. BTW gotta love BAEN, the only "major" publisher to get the fact that the ranks of readers, especially genre readers, grow by word of mouth thereby making DRM counter productive if you want to grow book sales.
