It's inevitable in a field of rapidly evolving technology. It will inevitably slow down when the technology matures, just as has happened with, say, PDAs or laptop computers. At the moment, though, eInk technologies are still very much in their infancy, and we'll inevitably see a whole slew of new devices. The next major step will probably be "unrolling" screens which are estimated to be in production in 2009.
