Ok gave this a try. It did not cause a crash (phew

), however it also does not remove the deleted books. So after 3 days I have a library filled with deleted news books which do crash Freda if I mistakenly click one. The only way to remove the deleted books from the library seems to be to go back to removing the source and readding it. I will go back to doing that and and let you know if it freezes my phone again.
If you have the desire at all, I might request a more natural way to refresh (add new books and remove deleted ones) the library. Just a wish

.

There is, however, a complex, kludgy way to do it. Put a bookmark somewhere on the text that you want to copy, then open that bookmark and tap the 'Fetch Book Text' button. This will extract a chunk of text (around 100 words AFAIR) surrounding the bookmark, and put it into the clipboard. You can then switch to another app and paste the text.

Thanks Jim! I did discover this work around and it will do for my needs, so no problem.

I was just checking if there might be an easier way I was missing.
One future feature question (maybe Freda v5.0), would you ever consider adding the ability to correct/edit books and save the changes back into the ePub?
