My answer was "yes" but only as a last resort.

If the only way to get a book I really wanted in ebook form was to purchase one with DRM then I would.

Howevever: I would probably strip the DRM if needed but soon that will make me an "infringer" as, IIRC, in Canada (if the new copyright legislation gets passed) it will be illegal to circumvent DRM locks.
